Hey folks.

:welcome: I hope you enjoy your stay! You said you just got an account. What do you mean by that since you need an online broker. How much are you going to invest and open your account with? Are you planning on daytrading as you hinted? A few facts to keep in mind; you reffered to yourself as a newbie and you might just want to know that daytrading is very dangerous and only 10% of them make a profit doing it. You also shouldn't get your hoped up because stocks that turn $100 investments into tens of thousands of dollars will not happen overnight no matter what percantage it goes up. I know if you look at TASR the chart is nice but that didn't happen overnight, so don't get your hopes up to turn $100 into tens of thousands of $$ in a couple hours. For the broker part, if you want to day trade and have a good startin amount i would reccomend freetrades. You get 20 free trades a month and rest are $3, $2, $1. I assume if you want to daytrade as well you will have a reasonably large starting capital. I will post more info later but gotta go work  Enjoy and Good luck!

Hello and welcome! As Ozzy stated, the type of investing you plan on doing could make a big difference.

Thanks for the welcome. By an account, i was referring to an account here on the forums. :) Ill probably (once i find a broker), start out with $500 or so. Thats absolutely right. I think daytrading would best fit my lifestyle... as i have a bit of time on my hands, and nothing much to do. If i can make money while doing it, great. If i can gain trading experiencing while doing it, perfect. Plus.. you never know when something big'll come along :) Yes, im a newbie. I follow stocks a bit but i know very little about the marketing procedures itself. Heres my knowledge - Open broker account - research - buy low - sell high - try to come out ahead after fees. Other than that... im clueless. (Ive deleted so much from this post. I dont want to sound like a total newbie, yet i am. Maybe its unavoidable. :) ) I can afford to play around $100 a week, so losing out will just make me... lose out. Thats not my goal, but i understand it happens. What really concerns me is the time it takes for the Ebroker to process my buy/sell request. Anyway, im not going to rant about my worries and such, so thanks once again for the information and advice, and i hope to speak with you again about the market.
