Thanks :D , but I have a feeling that the answer to my question is going to be so obvious I'll feel like an idiot. I need the money soon to start school, and havn't the slightist idea how to get it.
It can't be that obvious if chahinemm can't answer it :) :welcome Do you know from whom you inherited it? If so, you might want to give them a call and ask them how THEY purchased them and which broker they used. I know that certificates are uncommon now, and can only get them by request so I don't really know how old those are. Also, you might want to call up a random broker or e-mail them and ask them that question. Might want to check out www.scottrade.com because they have a fast responding help e-mail service. I hope this helps and good luck! :)

A local stock broker can make the transaction. Call several places to get the lowest transaction price possible. If you were going to invest it you would open an account with a Brokerage and then fund the account by sending them the stock certificates.
Ok, I'll start contacting some local brokers. Thank you all for your help.
