Boiler Room Brokers.. What are they?

Back in the day they used to have Boiler Rooms. They were almost like betting parlors. They used to have a phony ticker and they would bamboozle the rubes for all their money. The stock market is sure more advanced nowaways, or is it?

Being bamboozled is almost as bad as being duped or hoodwinked :)

Or spammed touting the next .ob stock that is going to make everyone millionaires.. I'll keep my distance from those..

Thanks for the info! :) Boiler rooms make me think of old janitors in grade school..

They keep telemarketers and bill collectors in boiler rooms also.
