WAY off topic

I have to agree with you on that one. I don't pack a gun, but I do do carry pepper spray, and generally I don't trust too many folks I don't know. There are a lot of people out there walking on the edge, I try to stay away from all of them..

Here is another example of people at their worst. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20031216/ap_on_fe_st/checkout_rage_4

As a member of the teenage population I just feel so loved.

ToastMonger.. I like ya! I don't think it's only teenagers that are doing these kinds of things, there are plenty of adults that act bad. I remember a Baseball game, ( can't remember what team was playing, maybe Chicago? ) that a Dad/ Son team jumped on to the field and attacked a player. Just people behaving badly in general. And I see too much on the evening news not to watch my back, and be just a *little* paranoid about people..

I agree that with the exception of ToastMonger most of these youngsters are a scary lot. Most 18 year olds I see have between 12 and 16 tattoos, and that's just the females. I carry all kinds of protection on me at all times, from condoms to semi-automatic weapons just to be on the safe side, :P

Well HappyHarry, I guess it always better to be safe than sorry. :) That certainly is a diverse "collection of protection" that you carry with you :)

Hmmmm condoms? Don't quite see why you need those to protect you from the teenagers, but whatever works. I dunno if I really think that society is going down the tube as a whole, I think it may just be the pendulum swinging. Most of my generations parents were the shoeless, hippies who wanted to stop violence. So in their bizarre little attempt to be unlike their parents they become gangbangers wearing their "bling-bling" and hanging with their "G's" in "da hood". As for downright evil people, I don't think there are anymore than previous generations.

I agree. People always think society is going downhill. And in reality, some people are, but not everyone. Yes there are some scurvy people around but you also have the young people in the miltary who are probably the most intelligent and skilled soldiers anywhere, plus you have so many brilliant people alive in modern times that you have to have some sort of hope for the future. There are too many great things happening to really be pessimistic for long.

That could be said. But not all kids of hippies got into bling bling either :) I'm one of them.. Speaking of bling bling, I was at the gas station today and this washed up pimp looking guy comes strolling in with a red pair of leather pants, red shoes, an oh so 80's sweater and a red pimp hat. It was the most I could do to not lose it right then and there. I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing. This has nothing to do with anything here, but thought I'd share with the teens, the blingers or whoever cares to read it. :)
