I have always preferred to manage my own money. I have a tendancy to doubt the integrity of "market makers" With the dawn of the internet information has never been as quickly accessable (sp) as it is now. With a bit of know how there is no reason that you couldn't make money without a "broker" making you broke..

Most people don't want to spend the time learning a subject. They would rather hire a "professional" and have them make the decisions. I would rather learn a subject thoroughly and rely on my own mind to make decisions.
