Looks like they closed at $39, right near their high. I have a feeling the earnings are going to be exceptional, as always. And the split! I am looking for the split!

This one has been the apple of my eye! I wish I had bought in when they were at a mere 14.00! That is the only thing that would be better with this one.. oh yeah, and a split too..
The stock is flat midway through the day. Maybe everyone has seen the same pattern enough that it will stop happening.
Hangin' tough at about 39.00 ish.. 3 hours till close, 3 1/2 till the call..
People have saw this one perform over and over. I think that selling out on it on this day would be a mistake. They seem to have a pattern of splitting this stock when it flirts near 40 a share. So even though you may have a huge return, hanging in for a split would be better IMHO..

I'm listening to the call as we speak. They are currently trading after hours at over 39.00 a share. I knew they wouldn't disappoint!
If they annonce the split today when do we actually have our shares split? Is it instant or take a few days or weeks?
They set it for a date in the future. In order to get the split, you have to have be a stockholder prior to a set date..
They're down a bit. Not as dramatic as sometimes but down. They also have been downgraded by a couple loser analysts! Yeah, they only went up 72% in earnings! Downgrade'em! How much more profit did they expect?
Wow! Sokol good call. They went down as far as $33. I went ahead and bought another 100. The stock was $39 on Monday and $33 today. $6 less per share because they reported 72 per cent increase in earnings. Nope, its because the institutions sell off to take profits.

One set of institutions takes profits but a great number of new institutions looking for profits will come in now. They should start the strong steady ascent into their next earnings report.

Oh no! Don't tell me Fatfreddie is one of the ranks of millions of bankrupt amateur Chico's shorts! This is a trend that I have followed for awhile. It is not cause for concern. Chico's has a huge level of institutional ownership. These institutions end up getting killed in other trades and sell the Chico's to take profit. That, plus the fact that they set target prices and sell when met is the main reason they sell. But if you are smart, that's when you buy more! Chico's at $33 with a 72% increase in sales is a bargain! So it looks like this pattern continues. Chico's announces record sales and earnings, and a huge sell off occurs for days. THAT is where you buy more.
You are right about that one Sokol. For as long as I have been watching this one that has been how it trends. As for those who short, there would have been some money to be made on them the last couple of days, had you played your cards right..
FatFreddie! You give people with alliterative nicknames a bad name! Chico's always does this. But in the end it only has one trend: UP! and UP BIG! Wait, that's two trends. But it already is going back up today.
