[quote:f5a9e7bb03="KennethPenn"]Your thoughts are sound. I think a lot of people think of gold when their view of the economy is negative. People almost always consider gold to be the safest investment of all.[/quote:f5a9e7bb03] so would i be able to say safely that now is the time to be in gold ..... until there is concrete signs of economic recovery... chahine
Are you looking to buy gold itself or gold related stocks like mining companies?
chahinemm, It is my opinion that we are still in the early stages of a magnificent bull mkt in gold despite the attempts of the powers that be to keep the gold price from rising. If you are serious in investing in gold you should invest at least 5% in physical gold ( this is your insurance incase of a global financial meltdown ). You should also buy UNHEDGED gold miners. Do not touch HEDGED miners ( i.e Barrick ) as these are actually being hurt from a rising gold price. The exploration companies offer the biggest potential gains but also offer the potential to loose all your money and can be very illiquid, so IMO go for a spread of miners, from large to exploration. One company I already own is EDV.TO which is a gold fund which will give you exposure to many gold companies. BTW dont forget Silver or any of the commodities as cracking investment opportunites at the moment. Some gold related websites for you. lemetropole.com minesite.com kitco.com goldeagle.com financialsense.com ALL ABOVE OBVIOUSLY IN MY HONEST OPINION
:welcome and thans for ur input i apreciate it. i do agree with u that investing into the different aspect of gold can be very beneficial however for me gold is just a stage of investment. in the past i invested in BGO which gave me a good 80% return (still cheap and should go higher in long) and WHT right now is up about 40% which i predict to go up.... to about 60 to 80% i do not want to dedicate myself totally to gold or any commodities which i think would cause me to miss the massive amount of opportunities available. i did check the website that u have listed and they are very interested and spiked up my interest in this field. Thnx  Chahine
