wow that is true HappyHarry has hit the a good return on investment..... congrats happyharry.... nice going chahine
Thank you my friends, I just felt like bragging a bit. Considering how many people buy Mutual fund so "professionals" can manage your money, I am pretty proud of a 45% return as an amateur. It proves we can all do it on our own.
i do agree happyharry investing is just a question of willing to do the work necessary to achieve the confidence in the understanding of ur investment... if u are confident like buffett would say u can manage the bumps till u achieve the desired result..... chahine
Nice Job!! :D

Tommy might still be a buy. They came in at .71 cents a share for the QUARTER and still only selling for $15. No reason this one can't get to $20 easy. Hilfiger is a popular brand still, they are an acquisition target for a larger multi line company like JNY. Sales have been relatively flat-lined for since 2000 but spending is bound to go up. Their wholesale numbers are up. They also have baby clothes and home furnishing lines that are going well.
Hiya HappyHarry.. Have you read the latest news about TOM? According to Yahoo finance they may be cutting their line offerings to a number of Dillards stores. Just thought I'd pass it along if you hadn't heard this news.. I would hate to see you lose all of those profits if you are in the habit of "taking profits"
Congratulations on your nice earnings! Is TOM a good buy even now? Is it worth to buyt into? Thanks.

They announced they're cutting shipments to Dillards (their largest customer) and their debt was downgraded by a couple ratings agencies so neither are good signs. They are still selling a lot of clothes but they have been relying on discounting to achieve most of it.

How much did you trade that around? Were those mostly long term holds over the whole year?
KRB I have had around six months. TOM I sold after 4 months. CHS I have had for 3 months.
