I mod a forum at AR15.com that has 50,000+ members and am online most of the day, if you want it done I'd be glad to do it. We just need to set up some basic rules. In the case of the guy who reprinted the same post in all 4 forums I would suggest we trash the threads alltogether. If the forums moved faster they could just be locked and they would fall to the bottom pretty fast but this won't be the case for a while here. Can you make a restricted trash forum? That way you can see what I've trashed and if there is ever a problem with someone complaining about a trashed post we will have proof of what it was and if it was dealt with properly. We also maybe need a post that explains the rules, like the fact if a thread is copied and posted in more than one forum we will be trashing the copies. Since this is a smaller site this stuff can be introduced slowly, I just don't want to see the forums turning away good new contributing members because they think it is just a spammers heaven. Bob
i'm not a big fan of deleting posts. i will have to check the software configuration to see about a restricted forum. i am sure it is no big deal to implement. we can also set up some rules, as you said as the action merits it. i don't even mind an occasional "spam". if it was done right it wouldn't matter but i agree the multiple spam drops in all forums are pretty unsightly.

Just let's not go nutso on the rules. We have a small but decent group here. I checked around for other finance message boards and there aren't many. I think the Internet can use a place like this, for "small time" investors to discuss stocks in a relaxed environment.
Just don't want to see every forum hit with the same thread by the same guy, it has happened a few times already. It's a waste of time to us if we have to go to each forum and see the same garbage. You won't notice anything different.
